Do not oil your scalp
Do not bring anything to read (you participate by passing the hair)
Apply Sea Breeze astringent or Witch Hazel with a cotton ball to cleanse your scalp. (no more than once a week). Or shampoo gently in the shower. Use a low cool setting on the blow dryer.
Lightly apply Interlocks by Carolyn Oil to the scalp and Interlocks by Carolyn Setting Lotion to the hair.
Gently brush straight hair with a wig brush with rubber tips - no metal. Hold the hair and brush, gently. If you handle the hair roughly, you will pull the hair from your French braid.
Never apply heat to synthetic hair.
To remove the braids: 1). find the ends of all of your French braids and band them. 2). Cut the loose hair about an inch from your French braids. 3). Find the ends of the French Braids again, and cut right below the thread, and start to unravel your braids. The process takes approximately 30 minutes.
Comb hair thoroughly after removing braids using a wide-tooth comb and then a small-tooth comb. THIS PREVENTS MATTING AND TANGLING! Now it's safe to shampoo your hair.
